Drug intelligence / Profile preview
H5 Flu IMP 11 is an investigational mRNA-based vaccine candidate developed by Sanofi for the prevention of avian influenza caused by the H5N1 subtype of the Influenza A virus. It is one of several experimental formulations being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT06095908) designed to identify the optimal safety and immunogenicity profile of vaccines encoding the hemagglutinin (H5) antigen. The vaccine utilizes mRNA technology to instruct host cells to express the H5 protein, a key surface glycoprotein of the influenza virus, thereby eliciting a targeted immune response. It is administered as a suspension for intramuscular injection.
