Overview
A plant-derived combination vaccine containing **H5 virus-like particles (VLPs)** displaying the hemagglutinin (HA) protein from the A/Indonesia/05/2005 H5N1 influenza strain, formulated with the adjuvant **GLA-SE** (glucopyranosyl lipid adjuvant-stable emulsion). The vaccine is designed to induce both humoral (HI titers) and cell-mediated immune responses, and has shown the ability to elicit robust, durable, and cross-reactive immune responses in adults. GLA-SE is a synthetic TLR4 agonist formulated in a nanoemulsion, promoting Th1-biased immunity and strong antibody responses. The product was tested in clinical trials as a pandemic and seasonal influenza vaccine candidate, demonstrating seroprotection and seroconversion rates suitable for regulatory licensure at low antigen doses[1][2][4].
