Drug intelligence / Profile preview
H5N1 pISV (pandemic inactivated subunit vaccine) is an inactivated vaccine designed to prevent infection caused by the H5N1 influenza virus subtype, commonly known as avian or bird flu. It works by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against the H5N1 virus. Research indicates it can be particularly effective when used in a prime-boost approach following administration of a pandemic live attenuated influenza vaccine (pLAIV), generating robust humoral responses.
