Overview

H6B1L-EM (also known as IMC-003) is a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting the Lymphocyte Activation Gene-3 (LAG-3), an immune checkpoint receptor expressed on activated T cells. By binding to LAG-3, H6B1L-EM blocks its interaction with Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) class II molecules, which typically suppresses T-cell activation and cytokine production. This blockade helps to restore the effector function of exhausted T cells and enhances the anti-tumor immune response. Originally developed by Sorrento Therapeutics using its G-MAB library, the candidate was licensed to ImmuneOncia Therapeutics, a joint venture between Sorrento and Yuhan Corporation. Following Sorrento's bankruptcy proceedings, Yuhan Corporation acquired Sorrento's entire stake in ImmuneOncia and the rights to the program. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of various solid tumors, often in combination with other checkpoint inhibitors.
