Drug intelligence / Profile preview
H8 is a curcumin analog that functions as a selective inhibitor of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1 (11β-HSD1). It has demonstrated therapeutic potential in mitigating lipid metabolism disorders by reducing glucocorticoid levels and activating the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling pathway. Its effects include diminishing lipid accumulation and altering markers of lipid synthesis, as observed in both in vitro and in vivo models.
