HA6722 is a 20-mer phosphorothioate antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ASO) designed to target and downregulate human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2, also known as ERBB2) mRNA. By hybridizing with complementary sequences of HER2 mRNA, HA6722 induces RNase H-mediated degradation of the transcript, thereby inhibiting HER2 protein expression and suppressing the proliferation of HER2-overexpressing breast cancer cells. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that HA6722 inhibits tumor growth in vitro and in vivo, and acts synergistically as a chemosensitizer when combined with docetaxel.
