Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hadensa is a topical combination ointment developed and marketed by Dollar Company Private Limited for the treatment of hemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, anal fistulas, and anal eczema. It is formulated in a protective lanolin base and contains lidocaine (lignocaine), menthol, and thymol as active ingredients. Lidocaine acts as a local anesthetic to numb the affected area and relieve sharp pain, particularly during bowel movements. Menthol provides a cooling sensation that alleviates itching, burning, and irritation, while thymol serves as an antiseptic to prevent secondary infections and promote healing. The lanolin base acts as an emollient to moisturize the skin and facilitate smoother, less painful stool passage.
