Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hadensa Ointment is a topical combination formulation developed and manufactured by Dollar Company. It is primarily indicated for the symptomatic relief of hemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, and anal fistulas. The ointment contains four active components: lidocaine (lignocaine), a local anesthetic that blocks voltage-gated sodium channels to provide rapid pain relief; menthol, a cooling agent that activates TRPM8 channels to soothe burning and itching; thymol, a natural antiseptic with antimicrobial properties that prevents secondary infections; and lanolin, an emollient that moisturizes the skin and facilitates smoother, less painful bowel movements.
