Haemdates-XT is a branded generic oral hematinic supplement manufactured by Kaiser Pharmaceutical (Kaiser Drugs Pvt Ltd). It is typically formulated as a combination of ferrous ascorbate and folic acid. Ferrous ascorbate is a synthetic conjugate of ferrous iron and ascorbic acid that provides a highly bioavailable source of elemental iron with reduced gastrointestinal side effects compared to traditional iron salts. Folic acid (Vitamin B9) is an essential cofactor for DNA synthesis and the maturation of red blood cells. Haemdates-XT is indicated for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia and folic acid deficiency, particularly during pregnancy, lactation, and recovery from surgery or chronic illness.
