Overview

Haemophilus influenzae type b conjugate vaccine (Minhai-HIB) is a prophylactic, conjugated vaccine developed to prevent infections caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), a bacterium responsible for severe diseases such as bacterial meningitis, pneumonia, and other invasive infections primarily in children under 5 years of age. The vaccine consists of the capsular polysaccharide from Hib covalently linked to tetanus toxoid, which enhances immunogenicity by inducing a T-cell dependent immune response. Developed and manufactured by Beijing Minhai Biological Technology, it is approved in China for the prevention of Hib infections[1][2][7].
