Hair Follicle Regenerative Medicine (3rd Generation) is a cell-based regenerative therapy developed by Organ Technologies for the treatment of female alopecia and alopecia areata. The therapy utilizes the 'organ germ method' to reconstruct functional hair follicle organ germs by combining three distinct cell populations: adult hair follicle-derived epithelial stem cells, dermal papilla cells, and a novel third population of 'hair follicle regeneration-supporting cells' (accessory mesenchymal cells). This approach aims to restore structurally correct and fully functional hair follicles through a combination of bioengineered follicle transplantation and cell injection therapy. The technology is designed to reproduce the epithelial-mesenchymal interactions that occur during natural organogenesis to achieve permanent hair restoration.
