Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HAMg is a recombinant protein influenza vaccine candidate developed by RH Biopharma (RH Group). The vaccine utilizes a monoglycosylated hemagglutinin (HA) technology platform designed to create a broadly protective, potentially universal flu vaccine. By reducing the glycan shield on the HA protein to a single sugar residue (monoglycosylation), the vaccine exposes conserved epitopes that are typically masked by complex glycans. This exposure allows the immune system to generate antibodies that recognize a wide range of influenza strains and subtypes, providing cross-protective immunity. HAMg is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
