Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Haoqin Huaban Fang is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) decoction used for the treatment of skin conditions related to phototoxicity and UVB-induced damage, such as polymorphic light eruption. The formula is based on the principle of clearing heat, cooling blood, and detoxifying. It has been studied for its protective effects against UVB-induced oxidative stress and inflammation in skin cells. Mechanistically, it upregulates HOXA11-AS expression by activating hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α), stabilizes EZH2 protein by inhibiting its ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation, reduces oxidative stress, promotes cell proliferation, and inhibits apoptosis in HaCaT cells[4][1].
