Overview

This investigational haptenized cell vaccine is being co-developed by BioVaxys Technology and Procare Health for the treatment of cervical cancer and high-grade cervical lesions. The vaccine is based on BioVaxys' proprietary platform that modifies tumor-associated antigens through a process called haptenization (typically using dinitrophenyl), which makes the antigens more visible to the immune system. By overcoming the immune system's natural tolerance to tumor cells, the vaccine aims to stimulate a robust anti-tumor T-cell response. Currently in preclinical development, the project is part of a 2021 collaboration agreement where Procare Health manages development and commercialization in the European Union and UK, while BioVaxys retains rights for North America and the rest of the world.
