Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HB-200 is an investigational arenaviral immunotherapy developed by HOOKIPA Pharma (assets acquired by Gilead Sciences in 2025) for the treatment of HPV16-positive cancers, primarily head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). The therapy utilizes HOOKIPA's proprietary arenavirus vector platform to induce a robust CD8+ T cell response against HPV16 E6 and E7 antigens. It is frequently evaluated in clinical trials both as a monotherapy and in combination with PD-1 inhibitors like pembrolizumab (Keytruda). Clinical data has demonstrated promising objective response rates in patients with recurrent or metastatic HNSCC, showing potential synergy with checkpoint inhibitors by doubling the response rate compared to pembrolizumab alone in certain settings.
