Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HB-301 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by Hookipa Pharma for the treatment of prostate cancer, specifically metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. It is designed as an immunotherapy that stimulates the immune system to target and attack prostate cancer cells. The mechanism of action involves immunostimulation, with specific inhibition of acid phosphatase 3 (ACP3), prostate-specific antigen (KLK3), and prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). Clinical development reached phase I/II trials in metastatic prostate cancer, but these trials were terminated for non-safety related reasons.
