Overview

HB-302 is a therapeutic vaccine developed by HOOKIPA Pharma for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. It is part of an alternating 2-vector therapy (HB-302/HB-301) that uses arenaviral vectors engineered to express prostate-specific antigens, specifically PSA (prostate-specific antigen) and PAP (prostatic acid phosphatase). Upon intravenous administration, these vectors induce expression of PSA and PAP peptides, leading to antibody-mediated and cytotoxic T-cell immune responses against tumor cells expressing these antigens. The drug was evaluated in a first-in-human Phase 1/2 clinical trial for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer but development has been discontinued[2][4][5].
