The most prominent is a radiolabeled antibody or therapeutic radiopharmaceutical developed by Honeybear Biosciences for use as brachytherapy in refractory head and neck and breast cancers. This version of HB001 consists of alpha-particle emitting seeds (likely labeled with actinium-225) that are implanted directly into tumors to deliver localized radiation, aiming to reduce tumor size with minimal systemic toxicity. Another reported version is a recombinant bi-functional fusion protein developed by Huabo Biopharm/Shanghai Huaaotai Biopharmaceutical, acting as an antineoplastic agent targeting podoplanin (PDPN) and transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1), both relevant in tumor progression and metastasis[2][3][5][7]. Both versions have been investigated primarily for solid tumors.
