Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HB0017 is a recombinant humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin-17A (IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine implicated in the pathogenesis of several autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Developed by Huaota (also referred to as Huabo Biopharm), HB0017 is designed for subcutaneous administration and has demonstrated high affinity binding to IL-17A, effectively blocking its interaction with the IL-17 receptor. This antagonism inhibits downstream inflammatory signaling pathways. Clinical studies have shown that HB0017 exhibits good safety, tolerability, and significant efficacy in patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, achieving high rates of PASI75 and PASI90 responses at 12 weeks. The drug also features an extended half-life compared to other anti–IL-17A antibodies, potentially allowing for less frequent dosing (every 2–3 months). In addition to plaque psoriasis, it is being investigated for ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
