Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HB002.1T + oxaliplatin + capecitabine is a combination regimen composed of a recombinant VEGF decoy fusion protein (HB002.1T), oxaliplatin, and capecitabine. - **HB002.1T** is a recombinant human fusion protein comprising the second domain and flanking sequences of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1 (VEGFR-1) fused to the Fc fragment of human IgG1. It acts as a decoy receptor to bind and neutralize VEGF-A, VEGF-B, and placental growth factor (PlGF), thereby strongly inhibiting angiogenesis. - **Oxaliplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that forms DNA crosslinks, leading to apoptosis and cell death primarily in rapidly dividing cells. - **Capecitabine** is an oral fluoropyrimidine prodrug metabolized preferentially to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) within tumors. It inhibits DNA synthesis and cell division. This combination is being studied for advanced solid tumors, particularly showing promise in ovarian, cervical, pancreatic, gallbladder, and bile duct cancers. HB002.1T provides antiangiogenic activity, while oxaliplatin and capecitabine contribute cytotoxic and antimetabolite effects, respectively. The regimen is under clinical evaluation, including phase Ib trials for efficacy and safety in advanced cancer patients[1][3][4].
