Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HB0023 is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1). Developed by Huabo Biopharma using hybridoma technology, it is designed to block the interaction between PD-1 and PD-L1, thereby reactivating suppressed T-cells to prevent cancer-immune escape. It serves as the parental antibody for the bispecific molecule HB0025, which combines HB0023 with a VEGF-trapping domain. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that HB0023 possesses high binding affinity and specificity for PD-L1 and effectively inhibits tumor growth in humanized mouse models of melanoma, both as a monotherapy and as a component of bispecific constructs.
