Overview

HBM1020 is a first-in-class fully human recombinant monoclonal antibody that targets B7 homolog 7 (B7H7), also known as HERV-H LTR-associating protein 2 (HHLA2). Developed using the Harbour Mice H2L2 transgenic platform, it acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking B7H7/HHLA2, a novel immunomodulatory molecule in the B7 family. This pathway is implicated in tumor immune evasion, particularly in patients with advanced solid tumors who are PD-L1 negative or refractory to PD-(L)1 therapies. By inhibiting B7H7/HHLA2, HBM1020 enhances T-cell mediated anti-tumor immunity. Preclinical and early clinical data demonstrate its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy signals in advanced solid tumors[1][2][3][5][6][7].
