Overview

HBM1029 is a fully human monoclonal antibody discovered by Harbour BioMed using its H2L2 Harbour Mice platform that selectively targets the tight junction protein Claudin 18.2, an isoform highly expressed on gastric, gastroesophageal junction, and pancreatic cancer cells while largely absent from most normal tissues.[1][5][17] Preclinical studies have shown that HBM1029 has higher CLDN18.2 binding affinity, stronger antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) anti-tumor activity, and a longer half-life in mouse pharmacokinetic models compared with benchmark antibodies, supporting its potential as a differentiated therapeutic biologic for CLDN18.2‑positive solid tumors including gastric, gastroesophageal junction, and pancreatic cancers.[1][5][17] The program has been reported as being in preclinical development with plans for an IND filing, but no active clinical trial has been publicly detailed, suggesting development remains at or near the preclinical / IND-enabling stage.[1][5][13]
