HBM7020 is a fully human bispecific antibody developed by Harbour BioMed using the HBICE (HCAb Based Bispecific Immune Cell Engager) technology and Harbour Mice platform. It targets both B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD3, enabling it to crosslink T cells with BCMA-expressing target cells. This dual targeting leads to potent T cell activation and selective elimination of malignant plasma cells, particularly in multiple myeloma. The molecule features two anti-BCMA binding domains for optimal tumor cell targeting and a monovalent-optimized anti-CD3 domain designed to minimize cytokine release syndrome (CRS). Preclinical studies have demonstrated efficient tumor killing with minimal cytokine response, suggesting potential efficacy and safety advantages over other BCMAxCD3 bispecific antibodies. While initially developed for oncology indications such as multiple myeloma, the development strategy has expanded to include immunological diseases[1][3][5][9].
