Overview

hBRCA84D CAR-T cells is an autologous, multi-modular chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and the UCL Cancer Trials Centre (University College London). The therapy consists of the patient's own T cells genetically engineered to express a CAR construct targeting B7-H3 (CD276), a cell surface glycoprotein that is highly upregulated in several pediatric solid tumors. It is currently being evaluated in the Phase 1 MIGHTY clinical trial in the United Kingdom for children, adolescents, and young adults with relapsed or refractory rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, or desmoplastic small round cell tumour, administered following fludarabine and cyclophosphamide lymphodepletion.
