HC-SVT-1001 is an autologous cell therapy product developed by Salvat for the surgical treatment of atrophic pseudarthrosis (nonunion) of long bones. It consists of ex vivo expanded adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) that are combined with a tricalcium phosphate (TCP) biomaterial scaffold. The AD-MSCs provide osteogenic potential by differentiating into bone-forming cells and secreting regenerative growth factors, while the TCP serves as an osteoconductive scaffold to support structural integrity and bone ingrowth at the site of the nonunion. This combination is applied locally during a single surgical intervention to promote bone healing in patients where natural repair has failed.
