Overview

HC016 is an intratumoral lipid complex injection containing a STING (Stimulator of Interferon Genes) agonist, developed by Zhejiang Haichang Biotech. The drug utilizes a specialized lipid delivery system to enhance the stability and uptake of the STING agonist within the tumor microenvironment. Upon administration, HC016 activates the STING pathway, leading to the induction of Type I interferons and pro-inflammatory cytokines. This process facilitates the maturation of antigen-presenting cells and the priming of tumor-specific T-cells, aiming to convert 'cold' tumors into 'hot' tumors and potentially elicit a systemic anti-tumor immune response. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of advanced or recurrent solid tumors.
