Overview

HCA-N Solution is a modified version of the classic Hypertonic Citrate Adenine (HC-A) organ preservation solution. It is designed for the static cold storage and preservation of donor kidneys during renal transplantation. The solution is formulated to counteract graft edema, reduce oxidative stress, and maintain cellular energy levels during cold ischemia. By optimizing the electrolyte and osmotic balance, HCA-N aims to minimize ischemia-reperfusion injury, reduce the incidence of delayed graft function (DGF), and accelerate the recovery of early renal function post-transplantation compared to standard preservation solutions like Histidine-Tryptophan-Ketoglutarate (HTK).
