Overview

HCB303 is a tri-functional recombinant fusion protein under preclinical development by HanchorBio for the treatment of neoplasms (cancers). It is part of a new generation of immuno-oncology biologics designed to overcome resistance to PD-1 therapy. While specific mechanistic details for HCB303 are not fully disclosed, it is closely related in concept and design to other advanced candidates from the same developer, such as HCB301, which combine multiple immune-modulating functions (e.g., SIRPα targeting, anti-PD-L1 activity, TGF-β or TIGIT inhibition) into a single molecule. The goal of these multi-specific fusion proteins is to enhance anti-tumor immunity by simultaneously blocking several pathways that tumors use to evade immune detection and suppression[1][2][3].
