Overview

**hCt20** is an investigational fixed oral-rinse formulation containing calcium hydroxide and lauryl-diethylene-glycol-ether sodium sulfate in distilled water. It has been evaluated in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma receiving radiotherapy, with the intent of preserving unstimulated salivary flow and reducing radiation-associated xerostomia. The registered study formulation contained 2 g calcium hydroxide and 200 mL lauryl-diethylene-glycol-ether sodium sulfate solution at 0.125 g/mL in 800 mL distilled water; patients used 10 mL as an oral rinse twice daily.
