Overview
HCVax is a therapeutic lentiviral vector-based vaccine developed by GeneCure Biotechnologies for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It is constructed using the company's proprietary SimVec platform, which utilizes a non-replicating lentiviral vector to deliver HCV-specific antigens. The vaccine is designed to stimulate a robust and sustained T-cell mediated immune response to clear the virus in patients with chronic infection. A Phase I clinical trial (GC002) was initiated to evaluate its safety and immunogenicity in chronic HCV patients.
