HCW9213 is a recombinant multi-cytokine fusion protein developed by HCW Biologics using its Tissue-specific Cytokine Bio-delivery (TOBI) platform. The molecule is designed to integrate the immunostimulatory activities of Interleukin-12 (IL-12), Interleukin-15 (IL-15), and Interleukin-18 (IL-18) into a single therapeutic agent. By co-delivering these cytokines, HCW9213 aims to promote the activation, proliferation, and effector function of natural killer (NK) cells and CD8+ T cells within the tumor microenvironment, potentially achieving superior anti-tumor efficacy compared to single-cytokine therapies. The fusion protein structure is intended to improve the pharmacological profile and reduce the systemic toxicities often associated with the administration of free cytokines. It is primarily being developed for the treatment of various solid tumors.
