Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**HD-001** is a small molecule protein kinase inhibitor developed by Horizon Discovery (now part of Revvity) in collaboration with AstraZeneca for oncology applications. It targets a novel kinase mutated in cancers such as colon and lung, with particular relevance to K-Ras mutant tumors, which occur in up to 40% of cancers and drive resistance to targeted therapies. The program, in early drug discovery stages as of its announcement, aimed to address the unmet need in K-Ras-driven malignancies associated with poor outcomes.[5][11]
