Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HD CD19 CAR-T is a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy specifically engineered to target the CD19 antigen, which is expressed on the surface of B cells. This therapy involves collecting a patient's own T cells, genetically modifying them to express a receptor that recognizes and binds to CD19, and then infusing these modified cells back into the patient. The primary mechanism of action is direct targeting and destruction of malignant B cells expressing CD19. HD CD19 CAR-T represents an investigational or clinical-stage product; it has been studied in heavily pretreated patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), where it demonstrated feasibility and manageable toxicity[3]. The "HD" prefix may refer to a specific construct or manufacturing process but does not correspond to an approved commercial product as of June 2025.
