HDM1002 is an oral small molecule drug that acts as a selective and potent agonist of the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R). By activating GLP-1R, it promotes insulin secretion, lowers blood glucose levels, suppresses gastric emptying and appetite, and thereby supports weight loss. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. Preclinical studies have shown that HDM1002 potently activates GLP-1R to induce cAMP production and improve glucose tolerance. Clinical trials have demonstrated good safety and tolerability with dose-dependent reductions in body weight[1][6][7]. Rifampicin is a well-established antibiotic used mainly for tuberculosis; its inclusion here suggests a combination therapy or drug-drug interaction study context.
