HDS + ProMECE + CytaBOM is a combination chemotherapy regimen used primarily in the treatment of aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This regimen combines three established multi-agent protocols: - **HDS (High-Dose Sequential therapy):** Typically involves high-dose cyclophosphamide and etoposide. - **ProMECE:** A variant of the ProMACE protocol, which includes prednisone, methotrexate, doxorubicin (Adriamycin), cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan), and etoposide. - **CytaBOM:** Comprises cytarabine (Ara-C), bleomycin, vincristine (Oncovin), and methotrexate. The combined regimen is designed to maximize antitumor efficacy by using multiple agents with different mechanisms of action and non-overlapping toxicities. The drugs target DNA synthesis and repair or disrupt microtubule function to induce cancer cell death. This approach is intended for patients with intermediate or high-grade lymphomas who require intensive therapy[1][2][5].
