HDT-401 is a preclinical mRNA-based therapeutic being developed by HDT Bio, in collaboration with the University of Washington and PAI Life Sciences, for the treatment of glioblastoma. The drug utilizes HDT Bio's proprietary LION™ (Lipid Inorganic Nanoparticle) delivery system to transport mRNA designed to stimulate innate immune signaling. HDT-401 acts as an agonist for both Retinoic acid-inducible gene I (RIG-I) and Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3). By activating these sensors, the therapy is intended to trigger a robust immune response within the tumor microenvironment, potentially overcoming the immunosuppressive nature of glioblastoma.
