Drug intelligence / Profile preview
He-Xue Tong-Bi (also known as He-Xue Tong-Bi Powder or Fang) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed for the management of peripheral neuropathy. It is primarily administered as an external wash or topical application. The formula is currently being investigated in clinical trials, notably by the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, for its ability to prevent or alleviate oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy (OIPN) in patients with colorectal cancer. Its therapeutic rationale is based on TCM principles of promoting blood circulation and resolving "Bi" (blockage/pain) syndromes to protect nerve function during neurotoxic chemotherapy.
