HE006 is a small molecule inhibitor targeting lysine-specific histone demethylase 1 (KDM1A), also known as LSD1. It was initially developed by Nanchang Hongyi Pharmaceutical. The drug is being investigated primarily for the treatment of neoplasms, with a focus on hematologic malignancies such as acute promyelocytic leukemia and relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia. As a KDM1A inhibitor, HE006 works by interfering with epigenetic regulation in cancer cells, potentially restoring normal gene expression and inhibiting tumor growth.
