Overview

Healaflow is a slowly resorbable, injectable drainage implant primarily used as an adjunct in glaucoma surgery. It is composed of cross-linked sodium hyaluronate (NaHA) derived from biofermentation, making it biocompatible. Healaflow functions as a physical spacer to maintain the subconjunctival filtration space and modulates wound healing by inhibiting fibrosis, inflammation, fibroblast proliferation, and collagen deposition. This action helps to prevent scarring, improve surgical success rates, and stabilize intraocular pressure in procedures such as trabeculectomy and deep sclerectomy.
