Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Healing is a multi-component topical oral solution (mouthwash) developed by Idras for the management of inflammatory and ulcerative conditions of the oral mucosa, such as oral lichen planus (OLP), oral mucositis, and aphthous stomatitis. The formulation is designed to provide both a physical protective barrier and therapeutic relief. Its primary active ingredients include hyaluronic acid, which facilitates tissue repair and hydration by binding to mucosal surfaces, and plant-derived extracts such as *Zanthoxylum bungeanum* (Zanthalene) and *Aloe vera*. Zanthalene acts as a local analgesic by modulating sensory nerve pathways, while Aloe vera provides additional anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. In clinical research, particularly studies conducted by the University of Messina, Healing has been evaluated as a non-steroidal alternative to potent corticosteroids like clobetasol propionate for reducing pain and promoting the healing of oral erosions.
