Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Healiva 004 is an autologous blood patch therapy currently in preclinical development by Healiva for the treatment of chronic wounds, including Venous Leg Ulcers (VLUs) and Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFUs). The therapy is designed to be prepared at the point of care from a patient's own blood and applied topically to the wound site. It functions by delivering a concentrated matrix of blood-derived components, such as a fibrin clot matrix, platelets, and various growth factors. This biological scaffold and signaling environment are intended to stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms, promote tissue regeneration, and achieve wound closure in early-stage chronic wounds.
