Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Healive + Sinovac varicella vaccine refers to the co-administration regimen of two distinct vaccines developed by Sinovac Biotech and its subsidiary, Sinovac (Dalian) Vaccine Technology Co., Ltd. Healive is an inactivated hepatitis A vaccine derived from the H2 strain and adsorbed onto an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant, designed to provide active immunity against the hepatitis A virus. The varicella component is a live attenuated vaccine utilizing the Oka strain of the varicella-zoster virus (VZV) to prevent chickenpox. This combination is primarily evaluated in Phase IV clinical trials to assess the safety and immunogenicity of simultaneous administration in toddlers (aged 12-15 months), aiming to streamline pediatric vaccination schedules by administering both vaccines during a single visit at different injection sites.
