An investigational biological treatment developed by Bubba Nicholson for the treatment of opioid addiction. The active ingredient is a complex mixture of approximately 735 chemical species collected from the facial skin surface lipids of healthy adult males. Administered orally at a 250mg dose via a chewing gum vehicle, the treatment is designed to be odorless, colorless, and tasteless to conscious perception. Its proposed mechanism of action involves the stimulation of pheromone receptors in the brush border cells of the upper respiratory system, which purportedly eliminates opioid addiction and prevents withdrawal symptoms without the need for traditional detoxification. The treatment was evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial (NCT03394911) under FDA Investigational New Drug application 138202.
