Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HeartReady is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cell therapy consisting of mature human ventricular cardiomyocytes. Developed by Cardia Therapeutics, a subsidiary of CytoHub, the therapy is designed for myocardial repair and cell replacement in patients suffering from post-myocardial infarction (post-MI) scarring and ischemic heart failure. The therapeutic approach aims to restore cardiac function by engrafting functional, mature cardiomyocytes into the damaged myocardium to replace lost muscle tissue and improve overall heart contractility. As of the current pipeline disclosure, HeartReady is in the preclinical stage of development.
