Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HEB-001 (also known as HEB-001-expanded hematopoietic stem cells) is an investigational ex vivo expanded donor-derived CD34-positive peripheral hematopoietic stem cell therapy. The therapy is prepared by collecting CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells from a patient's original related transplant donor and expanding them ex vivo for approximately 10 days using a proprietary small-molecule compound, HEB-001, in combination with cytokines including stem cell factor (SCF), thrombopoietin (TPO), and FLT3 ligand (FLT3L). The expanded stem cells are then administered as a single intravenous infusion to promote hematopoietic recovery. HEB-001 is being developed by investigator Wang Xiaodong at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine for the treatment of poor graft function (PGF) in pediatric patients following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
