HEC-007

HEC-007 is a **triple-agonist peptide** targeting the **glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R)**, **gastric inhibitory polypeptide receptor (GIPR)**, and **glucagon receptor (GCGR)**. It is a synthetic, fatty acid side-chain modified peptide developed by Sunshine Lake Pharma for the treatment of **obesity, overweight, type 2 diabetes**, and related metabolic diseases. HEC-007 acts as an agonist at all three receptors, promoting weight loss, improving glycemic control, enhancing lipid profiles, and demonstrating broad metabolic benefit in preclinical studies. Clinical trial approval was obtained in China in April 2025, and phase 1 clinical studies are planned. Both injectable and oral formulations are being developed; the oral release formulation uses a permeation enhancement system to increase absorption and maintain tissue safety. Preclinical data suggest HEC-007 achieves higher efficacy and better safety at equal dose compared to similar available drugs.
