Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**HEC-C052** is a preclinical Fc-fusion GLP-1/glucagon dual receptor agonist developed by Dongguan HEC Biopharmaceutical R&D and Sunshine Lake Pharma. It was engineered as part of a series of Fc fusion proteins with differing relative activities at the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor and glucagon receptor. Among the reported candidates, HEC-C052 had the lowest glucagon-receptor agonism. In diet-induced obese mice, it reduced body weight, but its weight-loss effect was inferior to semaglutide in the reported study. The program was evaluated in animal models of obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
