HEC81885 is an investigational, orally bioavailable small molecule kinase inhibitor developed by Guangdong Dongyangguang Pharmaceutical (HEC Pharm). It targets the Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor (FGFR) family, specifically FGFR1, FGFR2, and FGFR3. These receptors are often dysregulated in various cancers through mutations, amplifications, or fusions, leading to constitutive signaling that promotes tumor growth, survival, and angiogenesis. By inhibiting the tyrosine kinase activity of FGFR1/2/3, HEC81885 disrupts downstream signaling pathways such as MAPK/ERK and PI3K/AKT. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with advanced solid tumors who have failed standard therapies.
