Overview
HECN2401213 is an unconjugated antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) developed by HEC Pharm (Sunshine Lake Pharma / Dongguan HEC Biopharmaceuticals) for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). It is designed to target hepatitis B virus (HBV) RNA, leading to RNase H-mediated viral RNA degradation and subsequent reduction of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) levels. Additionally, HECN2401213 exhibits immunomodulatory activity, including Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8) agonism, which triggers innate immune activation and cytokine production (such as IL-12 and IL-6) to promote a functional cure. It is currently in preclinical development.
